Placidochromis
Other Names | Description
Adult males show a stunning deep metallic blue with silver flecks. Females are silver-blue showing black vertical bars. Juveniles are silver with back vertical bars. Males will start to show the blue colour at around 2½ inches and will start to get the silver flecks at about 4 inches in size. I have found these fish to be peaceful
in my 6 foot community tank, but to be aggressive in breeding, beating
up the females and on occasion killing them. General Care
