"So this is what the inside of a guitar looks like."  There's a hole making this a photo of the inside of the guitar top.

The main structural part of the top braces is the X Brace, which transmits the vibration of the strings to the top while being strong enough to resist the deforming pull of the strings.

At the right of the picture you can clearly see the extended neck block.  This block is a little heavier than normal but should help in the long term stability of the instrument.
